Richard Menard is an artist creating contemporary sculpture. Located on Denman Island, B.C., on the West Coast of Canada, Menard's art is inspired by the natural beauty of the coastal forest and ocean environment. Working primarily in wood and stone, his work exudes a contemplative and serene presence.

Menard's carving includes masks and three-dimensional form in fine red and yellow cedar, specializing in rare and exquisite burl wood. He also works in Brazillian Steatite and has recently produced his first limited edition bronze series, "Migration". Richard Menard's work is included in Canadian, US and international collections.
